Woman...Lovely By Design.

I have been reading really good blogs about femininity and am all in that right now cause i am VERY VERY opinionated about it...more in the you are a woman and different from men, but worth as much and that we need to enjoy and embrace and be girly and adornment is good and fine and fun...and we also need to spend as much time on character or more then we do in the mirror...it's more about balance. :)

I am very passionate about Women's Issues, and do alot of reading and reaserch about it, I read my Bible regularly and pay close attention to what God has to say about women in all aspects of life, and that is why I am committed to being a stay-at-home mom and a Home-maker.  It is a humble and very worthy calling I have known was mine my whole entire life from age 3. Yet how do you say in this world that your calling is to be a mother and home-maker and contributer in a support-group, and teacher and preacher and cook and house-girl to a large but lovely family ( we have one little one so far but my husband and I are in agreement that we will have and car efor as many as God blesses us with).  And what a blessing to find and better yet marry a man who values and holds in high regard, stay-at-home mothers and family over all the rest of the things of the world.  It is a joy to have a husband that notices and is thankful for the endless jobs we do again and again every day every week that make our houses homes.  I am blessed that is for sure....I am very thankful my Mother and Auntie (god-mother) told me when i was not yet a teen to pray for my future husband.  It was worth every single second...God hears every little tiny prayer that I know for sure, and He saves them up for the perfect time and gives abundantly!

Modesty is something Mother talked alot to us about as we were becoming women, and often, she shopped along side us and guided us in the way we should go and helped us understand why...I have never wore a mini anything thanks to her...and am glad i headed her advice and teaching for the most part.  I always got treated like a lady (know that there are jerks and fools everywhere and i am not counting their idiocy in this) and with respect if i wanted...Women tell others how to treat us by our actions and dress.  If you don't look to men for approval you will be treated better by them, on top of making better life choices.

I dont believe you need to wear long sleeves, that you cant show your arms, or that you cant wear shorts, and knee length skirts, but really anything that you cant wear a bra under or you see the straps, we all know that is not modest, and you can wear nice tops but dont show half your bust off, and you dont need saran wrap to get a mans attention, we often forget that a modestly, yet womanly dressed woman will most definitely catch their eye, and in a good forever type of way as opposed to a single night type of way and that really ishow every girl dreams of being desired and treated.  Treated with value and worth and held up in a forever loved, and treated like a princess way.  We dont get that dressing like a tart.  I now its blunt but you know its true.
I like fashionable clothes and think it is fine to be stylish and that adornment is just fine and fun and wonderful part of being created woman, God speaks alot about how beautiful women are adorned....but it needs to be the accompaniment to a kind heart and gentle spirit, faith, and character.   The "good girls" of the bible wore jewels and nice clothes and pierced their noses so you need to pray and consider what your lines will be and the effect they will have on you as a woman, on those around you and your daughters and sons....and to all those people who say that we have to protect men from lust....that is theirs to deal with not yours, but we don't need to advertise if we aren't selling anything.

We all know when we get dressed the reaction our outfit will receive...what will you choose today?  A prince or a vagrant.   You have to stand a tell God when you get there so you have to choose for your self.  So that is my rant for the day and some of my thoughts on it, I would love to hear yours, I love a good disscussion!

Where invisible lines are drawn...

So I was reading one of my usual blogs today (beyond black and white), and it had a guest post/question/discussion starter about whether there are more good black men or more good white men. Which was shocking to me that someone thought they knew enough of many races to be able to say if there was or not! LOL...So it was a bit offensive but I took it as an opinion and stopped myself from posting a response ;)...I married inter-racially and am soooo happy, I cant say there aren't any good white men, or that black men or brown men are better, as my husband was just a perfect match for me and as he likes to tell me often, I am also his perfect match.  We have both lived long enough to have had the option to marry in our race, but neither one of us is about color.  We are about character.  we chose a mate based on that and common goals and life plans and character - on the sensible side, and on love at first sight and mutual attraction - on the romantic side.  and that's it.  We both have family that doesn't think you should marry interracially  but we knew what was right for us, and we are happy. It may not be right for everyone but that is what free will and thoughful prayer is for.   I had prayed for my husband (not knowing who he was of course :)) for many years, and we both believe God led my husband to Canada just for me, amazing to think hey?  Nothing is too big or small for God.

My husband had a bad day yesterday and had some ignorant jerk yelling racial slurs and swearing at him, it is a disgusting thing that no one I know would put up with if it was them...I've had it happen to me and it don't feel good!  Why are people so rude and ignorant in this day and age! Our countries are diverse enough the world over to be over this dumb issue already, its some weird us and them thing that i do not understand.  I have had people be rude when we are out and about together, or people shake their heads when I am shopping with my beautiful baby girl and ask if she knows her dad. and I think of course, why do you assume that a interracial baby is father-less?!  or they think she is adopted LOL!  Nice that adoption is more mainstream I am definitely PRO adoption, but seriously people.  So I don't take most of it to heart, as i knew what i signed up for and anything that is worth doing is rarely easy, but I get frustrated by people's ignorance and outright stupidity at times, what makes someone think there are better cause of their skin tone, or for that matter, WHY ON EARTH would they think we are different????!  We are created by the same God, all bleed red, all need food and water, and we all know love and hate.  We all come from the same 2 people and if it hadn't been for the Tower of Babel we would still speak all the same language!  So I think no people are better no people are less, stop judging ignorantly by the color of my skin, or anybody elses for that matter, and wake up.  We are all on this world for the same things, to live and love, believe and meet our maker.  to live well and with character, and show God's love to all people, which is why it makes me furious when Christians start in against interracial relationships because they should know better.  Most of the new testament is about taking the gospel to ALL peoples and nations.  I can't wrap my head around the invisible lines that are drawn between races and diverse peoples....why do we feel safer in us and them situations?  Why is skin color such a big factor for relationships? or friendships?  Why cant people, see the person not the skin? I could get into color-ism here but I will save that for another day :)  Why do people feel safe with a perceived sameness?  I have been in a few situations where i was the only one of my race and didn't even notice till some one pointed it out, and asked if i felt alone? I asked why there are lots of people here!?  People are all people with the same needs and wants the world over.  So that is my thoughts, on something that is bugging me today, and I have to speak out about as it is close to my heart :)

Tragically Ingnored

Please watch till the end there is important info.

For some reason there are alot of crimes against humanity, mostly women and girls around the world that even though some people know nothing happens to stop it.  I hope by increasing awareness we can help stop hate crimes and injustice to women and girls worldwide.  I have always wondered why they say men are the strong ones?  They are usually the dominant ones, but we are the strong ones,  women the world over usually have to endure more pain in their lives then men do, and in many countries are treated as and have no more value then animals! In India women are thought of as the lowest of castes and can be aborted by their families until they are into there 20's and if they cant marry them, they are allowed to kill them and call it abortion.  We need to do something to help our sisters.  Remember we are not exempt, we just are safe right now because brave women stood up and said "WE ARE FIRST CLASS CITIZENS TOO! We deserve to be what we want to be, we deserve respect, we deserve love, we deserve to have choices that we choose!"  and they kept standing up and fighting for it until it passed.  that is why we can t work and go to school past grade 9 and collage and choose our husbands, and be respected by them, why we can say how many kids and when we want them.  why we can have good jobs and sit in the same place in a church.  because some brave women fought for us.....lets be the brave women who fight for someone else to have the right and stregnth to fight for her own daughters...even though it may be too late for her,  there are many daughters who can benefit.  But we have to say something, do something, and NOT turn the other way, just because we are comfortable now.  All women deserve good safe happy lives.  Just imagine it was your daughter......What would you do??
