Easy-peasy, Fly out the door Hair (Look of the Day)

So I have learned a new fabulous way to make hair last and look finished and Fab, for 3-4 days.  With two kids now and one being small more then 5 min showers are a luxury that i afford 2ce a week, so I obviouly cant wash me hair more often then that :)
I found a new technique where you use hairspray instead of back combing to add lift and volume...and tweeked it to suit my face shape and favorite hair styles and i came up with this:
- you hold the hair up and spray section by section/ or layer by layer for lift, where you want it.  you brush it out every evening and the hairspray acts as a kinda dry shampoo for me (but I have coarse, dry, curly hair) and a humidity barier....which cuts down stying time too.

You can change your style every day and look fabulous simply brush out your last "Do" and spray in a new one LOL...

you can do a bump, or and updo, or a let your hair be just down and a few well placed bobby pins and good to go in 3 min flat!
5 min if you add mascara and conceler for those sleepless nights, throw on a pair of earings and you are stylin' and ready to run!

Hope you like it!

30 for 30 Hair - day 2 :)

So here is number two in the series!

I LOVE the simplicity and that it is also stylish you can wrap the end of the braids with anything ribbon or lace, or something sparkly :)
Do something that is your style and enjoy the simple chic style

Here is my version of it :)

Mine didn't Turn out quite as polished as the other one, but I'm a country girl and love me some braids :) and actually i didnt start with wet hair....I like it tho there was more volume which my face needs, from the pin curls i did the other day. This was really fast and easy to do, good for a busy mom or before work.

Hope you like! :)

30 for 30 days Hair challenge

Soo I have seen lots of posts and articles about 30 for 30 wardrobe challenges and I have been trying more protective styles for my delicate curls during the winter months in an effort to grow them out (my hair grows tragically slow!) and have been thinking about posting a series about it and then my fabulous sister gave me the 30 for 30 idea!  Yeah I know she is brilliant :).  So here it is the first "do " in the series
Almost all of these are styles that wont need heat to achieve to prevent damage while looking FABULOUS!

So I just kinda twist - the same like you would french braid but way faster - the front of my hair in small sections and secure them with mini clips you can use bobby pins or anything you choose that is your style.  I love how easy it is for a busy mom ( i can fit it in after my 2 minute shower LOL) and it looks good and fun all day and stays put even without product...all i use is leave in conditioner for this one.  It also gives a fun kinky texture the next day when you take out the twirls!  You can make a high hair do then :)

You can also put elastics in and wear it for a few days!

You can get fancy with it too,  I love this updo!

Hope you like, another one to come tomorrow :)!

Welcome 2012.

So 2012 is here and it seems like it came wayyy too fast :).  But I am thinking this year is a little different at least to me, i am not doing resolutions or intentions, I will simply have goals, to make life better and more satisfying for me and my family to bring our hopes and dreams closer into reach.  I always feel like the new year and all the pressure to be prefect at everything and the "right size and/or shape" and have you beans (some people say nuts, be we more crazy then that! lol) in a row, ready to take on the world!  LOL...I just feel frazzled when Jan rolls around after all the hustle bustle and am simply trying to "catch up" after it all....Why does it seem like my house had a tornado go thru it and that my family have worn two sets of clothes for like 10 days??  I didnt even have time to think about what this year could be or my goals this year. LOl that s what I have been up to today ::)  Sewing! and cleaning and sewing some more and dreaming about all the projects i can get done and the possibilities this year holds.  So a few of my goals are.....
-Get back to pre-baby weight
-Dance with Dear daughter everyday
- work on hindi every day till the program is finished adn move on to spanish (it will be time for dear daughter to learn another language too)
- sewing 10 things a month
- make at least a set of dishes a month and sell them.
- get my hair in good condition by avoiding heat until once on the weekend
- Make a menu plan for the week and fill it in every week (i usually forget :))
- Do one special thing with darling daughter a week, girly thing or fun for her.
- set up the sensory bins as she is old enough for some of them, and have them ready to go.
I always seem to get to January with the same goals as last year and not much changed, but this year I am pretty happy with my progress last year, and am looking forward to continuing on this year!

What are some of your goals for this year?  Happy new year and blessings everyone!

Sooo, it's 8 days till Christmas and I am going like crazy to finish my homemade gifts...I have two more big projects, one medium one.  I have a sewing prject left to finish and A TON OF WRAPPING to do!  AHHH!  I am oficially stressed out.....So I was suppossed to post the dishes with mehndi/henna designs i have for sale but didnt have time to take pics yesteday, so i will try to get them up tonight.  But for right now, since i am stressed and rushed I am posting some lovely shoes!  and other nice things to break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a little sparkle or two ;)...

They come up with the most amazing shoes now!  They are like a work of art....I am starting to understand my sisters obsession. :)

And now for some Mehndi that I love, I have had requests for mehndi for the holidays and these have been some of my inpiration as i warm up for some fun get togethers.

SOooo, like any good glamazon, I have been thinking how i will do my hair for Christmas gettogethers and the Big C day, and these are some things that I have been deciding on...I really really really love the first one but will have to practice if it will look anyting close to that Lol....so I cant decide between half up, all up or all down and great accessories.......

How are you doing your hair for the holidays?  What inspires you?  Any makeup Ideas?
A Very Merry Christmas to all!

Braided Beauty

I am really loving the braids that seem to popping up everywhere for the last few seasons.  I wish I was better at getting the short fuzzy curly hair at my hairline to stay in nicely so i could wear them more often, but i really need to work on my skills. LOL.  SO here are a few of my favorite looks and inspiration of late.  One of my cousins always seems to have her braided nicely in many different styles, I might need to do some more practicing my technique.  Anybody have any tips for getting more polished smooth looking braided do's??  I have always liked these "around the hairline" braids but i think you need a friend to do them properly. :)

Fashion and fabulous-ness ;)

So I have been really noticing people personal style lately (or lack there of)...and it gets me thinking that in all the striving to look perfect in some form or another that us ladies go thru everyday, I think the most important thing is your state of mind. :)  I think a good dose or self-worth, and bunch of sassy-ness and a touch or crazy, with a pinch of hotness (but not too much) thrown in for good measure make up a wonderfully fabulous look, for any woman, and it can't help but turn heads! :)  People will look because you are confident and lovely, men will look because of your grace and fun attitude, and ladies will look too (c'mon you all kno we check each other, to either compare, or take note for look-lifting for our own future use), to see if you are friend or foe....please try not to add so much hotness that you are an enemy rather then friend to other women.  We are important to each other, as friends, support, encouragment and ,....babysitters LOL.

I think it is very important to know yourself well enough to choose some fun, eccentric, pieces as signatures to be worn very often.... a favorite braclet (or stack of them), or necklace, or ring, watch, shoes, makeup look, OR all of the above that are just totally YOU!  Its great to play wth different looks and styles, and i think even as christian woman it is important to enjoy our femininity.  but also important to keep it to enjoyment and not obsession.....which is way to easy to slip into with all the constant pressure on women to be perfect all the time.  But in reality it is impossible to give "Beauty" a check list or specifiac recipe, there are more types and kinds of beauty then we can think of, which is why it is so important to celebrate the kind of beauty God has blessed you personally with, dont fight it, emphecise it, own it, work it girl!

So here is some food for thot.....some things that I think are beautiful and FABULOUS!....
